About Julia

Julia Pimsleur is a scaling coach and the author of the best-selling book Million Dollar Women: The Essential Guide for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Go Big and the host of the podcast, Million Dollar Mind.

The mission of Million Dollar Women (MDW) is to help one million women get to $1M in revenues. MDW is a social venture, half for-profit and half non-profit.

Million Dollar Women (MDW) offers programs to help women scale up: an online business school, Million Dollar Women Masterclass, quarterly Mingle & Mentor events in NYC and an annual Million Dollar Women Summit for 300 women entrepreneurs. The nonprofit arm of MDW, Million Dollar Women Fund, makes scholarships available for women of color entrepreneurs, who face even greater obstacles in scaling, and have average annual revenues of $25-$50,000.

Pimsleur’s passion for working with women entrepreneurs grew out of her own experiences as the founder and CEO of Little Pim, language teaching for young children, one of the few women-led venture capital backed companies in the U.S.

A seasoned fundraiser, Pimsleur has raised over $26M in Angel, Venture and philanthropic dollars and blogs regularly about entrepreneurship, fundraising, and how more women can “go big.” She also teaches a course at Parsons/The New School on fundraising. Prior to Little Pim, Pimsleur worked as a fundraiser in the nonprofit world, where she raised over $20M for organizations including Echoing Green, Committee to Protect Journalists, Witness and Bend the Arc.

She is the daughter of language teaching pioneer, Dr. Paul Pimsleur, as well as an award-winning filmmaker, trained NLP master practitioner coach, and mother of two. When she is not speaking or coaching, Pimsleur can be found doing stand-up comedy, going scuba diving or kicking a soccer ball in the Central Park with her two amazing boys, 12 and 15.

Pimsleur has been featured on Today, NBC Weekend Today, Forbes, CNBC, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. She speaks and teaches in the U.S., U.K and Australia on entrepreneurship, women in business and mindset. She lives in Manhattan with her family. Follow her on TW, IG or FB @juliapimsleur. See nabevimu.kinsta.cloud for blogs, speaking and upcoming events and milliondollarwomen.us to learn about the social venture.
